MONROE ROADWAYS AWARDED ST. JOHN FISHER COLLEGE SITE CONTRACTS
Multiple Projects Continue Relationship with Local Expanding College
Monroe Roadways, Rochester’s leading site construction expert, has been awarded multiple contracts for site construction services on the campus of St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, NY. Monroe partnered with Rochester-based Bergmann Associates and T.Y. Lin International Group for engineering and planning services on the three campus projects which include the addition of a parking lot, loop road extension, and complete site work for a new facilities building. Work is underway for all three projects, with an overall completion date slated for November, 2012.
“St. John Fisher College continues to demonstrate their commitment to the Rochester community by expanding the infrastructure and landscape of the college to better serve student needs,” said Monroe Roadways President, Jeff Taylor. “We are proud to maintain our relationship with Fisher, and are eager to once again collaborate on further projects together.”
With the growing need for parking on-campus, the first project features the addition of an 80-car parking lot servicing the existing Dugan Yard and Softball Complex behind Murphy Hall. The second project maintains access to the new Polisseni Track and Field Complex with the completion of a 2000 LF loop road extension starting at the Student Life Center, and ending near the RGTA Park and Ride. The final project includes site clearing, earthwork, and a 1.5 acre expansion on the East side of campus for a new Facilities Building. Monroe will be responsible for the full site work package on the wooded land, formerly owned by New York State, which entails all site utilities, building excavation, site concrete, and paving.
With the contracting of these new projects, Monroe continues its already recognized relationship with St. John Fisher College, having completed several site construction projects for the ever-expanding campus. Past projects include site construction for the new Buffalo Bill’s Practice Field, and the site construction for the new Polisseni Track and Field Complex. The new complex includes an eight-lane 400-meter competition track with a grass infield, seating for approximately 1,000 people, and locker rooms for the student-athletes.
