Local Site Construction Expert Teams with Woodstone Custom Homes, Inc. for Construction of a New Neighborhood Street Featuring 29 Single-Family Homes

Monroe Roadways, Rochester’s leading site construction expert, broke ground on Wednesday afternoon as part of their awarded contract by Woodstone Custom Homes, Inc. for site construction services on the construction for Brooks Court, 1170 Genesee Street in the 19th Ward of the City of Rochester. Monroe partnered with Rochester-based Parrone Engineering and Patrick J. Morabito for engineering and planning services on the construction of the new neighborhood street that will be called Brookcrest Way. Construction is currently underway, with new homes available for occupancy in the late fall of 2012, and entire project completion in 3 years.

The Brooks Court project will feature the construction of 29 new, single-family, market-rate homes on the new Brookcrest Way. With designs reminiscent of the Craftsman and Bungalow “city house” styles that were prevalent in the early- to mid-1900s, this new development with only enhance the lasting feel of the historic 19th Ward. The homes will feature a variety of ranch, cape, and 2-story plans, ranging from 1,200SF to 1,800SF in size with prices ranging from $150,000 to $180,000. The new energy efficient homes in the Brooks Court community are within walking distance to the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital, restaurants, and the amenities of Brooks Landing.
