Local Site Contractor Will Perform All Site Construction for Project
Monroe Roadways, Rochester’s leading site construction expert, was recently awarded the contract for site construction services of the new 500,000-square-foot mixed-use development at the intersection of Mt. Hope and Elmwood Avenues. Monroe is joining a partnership involving Fairmount Properties and Gilbane Development. Project completion is slated for Fall of 2014.

Monroe will be preparing the site for six buildings overall, which feature the following: a five-story, 1,560-space parking garage; a five-story, 150-room Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center; a 20,000-square-foot, two-story Barnes & Noble bookstore; a 20,000-square-foot supermarket; in addition to over 73,000-square-feet of street-level shops and restaurants, 50,000-square-feet of office space, and 154,000-square-feet of rental residential space. Monroe will be self-performing all work, including earthwork, grading, utilities, concrete, and asphalt paving.
